Education Background

Xuelong Li received his B.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees from The University of Science and Technology of China (USTC).

 

Work Experience

Xuelong Li is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of China Telecom since 2023, and the director of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence (TeleAI) of China Telecom (2024). Before that, he was a full professor at The Northwestern Polytechnical University (2018-2023), a full professor at The Chinese Academy of Sciences (2009-2018), a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Reader at The University of London (2004-2009), a Lecturer at The University of Ulster (2003-2004), and he previously took positions at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong University, The Microsoft Research, and The Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.
